Space Legos Were The Coolest

Oh yeah they were! I still have a bunch of bits and pieces.

They were very hopeful-for-humanity toys. It was a peaceful weapon free space, although the refueling hose heads could stand in for pistols, the video cameras for rifles or with an antenna a rocket launcher, all the vehicle antennas were changed into barrels at some point. Was it that in the late-seventies and early eighties that people were still thinking that moon bases were not so far off?

Chella and I played with a large random box of legos the other day. It is always amazing what kids will come up with out of all those bits. She built several multi-use house/vehicle/garden things. I stuck with the classic cool-rocket-race-car.
