My grandfather passed away today. He was fighting cancer. I loved him very much. I am glad that he is finally at peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. It doesn't matter how old he was or how good of a life he had, it's still hard and really lonely. All my grandparents have been dead for years now, but I still miss them and even forget that they're gone sometimes.

i remember seeing drawings of him, sleeping in a chair. you told me how he could fall asleep anywhere and that was one of the things you hoped to be able to learn how to do as you got older.

I was really sorry to hear about your grandfather, paul. My father-in-law died of cancer this year. That's not meant to relativize anything in any way. I hope you're doing well.
