Combo Drive Woes...

My ibook no longer recognizes blank CD-R cds. Disk Utility claims that the blank disk has zero capacity, is read-only and is locked. I tested several different brands on my ibook and on todd's. They all work fine on todd's. My combo drive does read cds and dvds.
Sigh. Good thing my ibook is still under Apple Care...
