welcome to july everyone.

hooray for hot sweaty days, sticky-icky nights, june bugs, and sun-block.

hooray for love and lovers and the promises they make.

and (on a personal note) hooray for shoes and socks. for those who don't know, i have discovered that i am allergic to chigger bites. i won't go into detail but "swollen irritated pus-filled sack" should give you the idea.

i was bitten once on each foot last tuesday while losing a game of chess to diana's stepfather in bucolic buda and have been unable to wear shoes since then. tomorrow will officially be a solid week of seeing my toes all day. it's disturbing.
