Todd, I'm actually just looking to make a specific color in photoshop into an alpha channel so I can place something else behind some people. Basically it is a group shot and I want to put a tour logo behind them. They were photographed on a plain red paper backdrop. There is some shadowing that ideally would be kept, but if the shadows have to go, that is fine.
